Nearly all of Indian Wells’ housing sits inside one of six residential country clubs the city itself lists, and buyers here search by club name, not city name. What sets each apart:
The Vintage Club. The valley’s benchmark for privacy: 712 acres, two Tom Fazio courses, and a membership structure that requires approval. Low density, big lots, and the most tucked-away setting in the city.
The Reserve. Foothill terrain against the Santa Rosa Mountains, with a Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish course threaded through natural desert. The choice for buyers who want scenery and seclusion over a social calendar.
Eldorado Country Club. Founded in 1957, with a George Fazio course and a celebrity history that still colours its reputation. Legacy club culture and an approval-based membership.
Indian Wells Country Club. The city’s original community from the 1950s, two courses, and just under 1,000 residences across roughly 28 separate HOAs — it feels more like a large gated neighborhood than a single club, with the widest spread of home types and eras.
Toscana Country Club. The newest of the six, founded in the early 2000s on about 640 acres with Italian-inspired architecture and two Jack Nicklaus Signature courses; known for an active social, cycling and hiking scene and newer construction.
Desert Horizons Country Club. Established 1979 on 320 acres with about 520 homes and condominiums — the most accessible entry point into Indian Wells, and the club that offers social and fitness memberships to every homeowner in its HOA.
